We are a Reformed Baptist Church and the following list serves as the highlighted points of the summary of what we believe. For a more detailed description, please reference a copy of the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689).

The Holy Scriptures

The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by the inspiration of God, and are the only sufficient, certain, an infallible rule of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience. God's Holy Scriptures are the standard by which we are to live our lives and it is in His Word that we grow in our faith and are sanctified as believers in Christ.  It is through the expositional preaching of the Word of God that the flock will be effectively fed.  This will also grow us in our faith in Jesus Christ, and will allow us to not be conformed to the the world, but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. (1 Timothy 3:15, Romans 10:17, 2 Timothy 4:2, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:19 - 20)

God

The Lord our God is but one only living and true God, the maker and preserver and ruler of all things, having in and of himself, all perfections, and being infinite in them all, and to Him all creatures owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. There are three persons in the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and these three are one God, the same in essence, equal in power and in glory.  God, in His infinite power and wisdom does uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures and things, from the greatest to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, to the end for which they were created, according to his infallible foreknowledge, and the free and immutable counsel of his own will; to the praise of the glory of his wisdom, power, justice, infinite goodness, and mercy. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Corinthians 8:4-6, 1 Timothy 1:17, 1 John 5:7, Matthew 28:19, Hebrews 1:3, Matthew 10:29-31, Ephesians 1:11)

Man and Sin

Adam was created in God’s own image and was given a righteous law, yet, through the temptation of Satan, he transgressed the command of God, and fell from his righteousness and communion with God.  As a result, all mankind has inherited this fallen nature of corruption, sinfulness, and opposition to God and His law. Therefore all fall short of the glory of God and are found condemned in their sins under the right and holy judgment of God. (Genesis 2:16-17, Genesis 3:12-13, 2 Corinthians 11:3)

Christ

Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, is the divinely appointed mediator between God and man. Having taken upon Himself human nature, yet without sin, He perfectly fulfilled the law, suffered and died upon the cross for the salvation of sinners. He was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended to His Father, at whose right hand he ever lives to make intercession for His people.  He is the only Mediator, the Prophet, Priest and King of the Church, and Sovereign of the Universe. (Matthew 3:17, 1 Corinthians 15:3-7, 1 Timothy 2:5, Romans 5:6-11, Philippians 2:5-11, Hebrews 1:3)

Holy Spirit and Salvation

Regeneration is a change of heart, wrought by the Holy Spirit, who gives life to those who are dead in their trepasses and sins, enlightening their minds spiritually and savingly to understand the Word of God, and renewing their whole nature, so that they love and practice holiness.  The Holy Spirit continues to strengthen followers of Christ in the knowledge of the Lord so they persevere in repentance, faith, and good works with the assurance of future glorification and life eternal with God. (John 3:1-8, Titus 3:5, 1 Peter 1:3)

The Church

The Lord Jesus is the head of the church, which is composed of all His true disciples, and in Him is invested supremely all power for its government.  According to His commandment, Christians are to gather together into local churches, and to each of these churches He has given needful authority for administering that order, discipline, and worship which He has appointed.  The regular officers of a church are elders and deacons. The purpose of the church is to train and equip the saints for the ministry of the Lord and to grow them in the fullness of Christ Jesus.  It is with the gifts that God has given us that we, "in all humility and gentleness with patience bear with one another in love... keeping the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."  The church is a family of believers in Christ, with all ages actively serving and loving one another in the building up of the body of Christ to unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God.  As the members of the church we reflect a living commitment to one another in attendance, giving, prayer, and service. (1 Thessalonians 5:12-14; Philippians 2:1-5; Ephesians 4:1-3; 2 Peter 3:18, Colossians 1:18, Matthew 16:18, Matthew 18:15-18, 1 Timothy 3:1-15, 1 Peter 5:1-4)

Last Things

God has appointed a day, where He will judge the world in righteousness, by Jesus Christ, to whom all power and judgment is given of the Father, in which all persons that have lived upon the earth shall appear before Christ, to give an account of their thoughts, words, and deeds.  The wicked shall go into everlasting punishment; the righteous, into everlasting life. (Matthew 25:31-46, 1 Corinthians 15:35-58, 2 Corinthians 5:10)
